The firm had a drunk driving homicide case dismissed in Wood county last week. It involved an accident between our client and a horse driven trailer, which resulted in the tragic deaths of a father and son. Investigation established that the accident would have happened whether our client had been drinking or not. Our attorneys were able to win both the homicide charges and the administrative review hearing.
Client represented by another attorney was convicted for refusing to submit to a test to determine if drunk. Wood appealed illegal stop. Wisconsin Court of Appeals reversed.
Misdemeanor 3rd OWI reduced to non-criminal 1st offense on appeal to challenge counting of prior OWI convictions.
Misdemeanor 4th offense drunk driving conviction overturned on appeal to Wisconsin Court of Appeals on improper presentation of evidence & witnesses and illegal counting of prior OWI convictions.
